To compliment our focus on family owned, and truly handcrafted wines, we continue to curate our craft spirits range. Many craft spirits over the last few years have gone mainstream and doubled down on marketing spend, and reduced their focus on quality. That is why we continue to work with the most authentic and high quality spirits brands in Africa, such as Okavango Gin, Procera Gin, and Triple 3 Distillery.

To make magical moments with spirits, we have added a new and improved Bar101 course to our Beverageintelligence learning journey. Rolf Zeitvogel from Gentleman Spirits SA and the owner of Triple Three joined us for an indepth two day filming shoot as your new spirit tutor on Bar101.

We think that the best way to learn about wine and spirit is to go and meet the professionals in the field and understand their craft in a hands-on approach. This is why, like the masterclass courses, we included lessons of Rolf in the orchards, in the fynbos garden, in the distillery amongst the different base alcohol fermentation tanks and distillation stills and finally in the barrel ageing room. This way, our learners can follow the spirit journey and have a better understanding of where flavours come from in spirit looking at the fruits which will be turned into alcohol before being distilled to concentrate the alcohol level and the beautiful flavours.

Rolf, being a 3rd generation distiller from the Black Forest in Germany and a fantastic ambassador for crafted spirit and spirit culture, also shares with us his knowledge on the main spirits in a new section of the course as well. Join Rolf below for some preview lessons of the new Bar101 course.
